International Symposium „Meditation Light”

The idea of the Symposium "Meditation light" was to create permanent ceramic and light objects/ sculptures from Lode factory bricks to be displayed in the Cesis Medieval Castle Park, Latvia. Light had to be a vital part of the object/ sculpture. In total 12 largescale brickworks were created and displayed in the Cesis Medieval Castle Park.

8 international ceramists and sculptors were invited and participated in the symposium in Zvartava, Cesis and Lode, Latvia – Peteris Martinsons (Latvia), Liga Skarina (Latvia), Vladimir Tsivin (Russia), Gwen Heeney (UK), Ulla Viotti (Sweden), Nato Eristavi (Georgia), Robert Harrison (USA/Canada) and Mitsuo Shoji (Australia/Japan).
